Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
